UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

We all talk about love and want to feel loved. Most of us claim to even be experts when it comes to dealing with this word called love.We all have our opinion and believes, but i believe the concept of love is clearly indicated in the Word of God. If we don’t have enough real love in our lives, the resulting emptiness is unbearable

It is unconditional love that we all seek, and somehow we intuitively realize that anything other than that kind of love isn’t really love at all—it’s an imitation of the real thing. Real Love is caring about the happiness of another person without any thought for what we might get for ourselves.

I want us to reflect on the sacrifice that Jesus made to take our place on the cross. It was not an easy decision for Him but He knew it was worth it because he loved us. His love for us was what drove Him to the cross in our place. This was a sacrifice of love.

Now many of us claim we love and yet we are not ready to sacrifice for our loved ones. We proclaim our love for someone and in a single moment of doubt all those signs of “love” instantly vanished. Let us learn to love people truly for it is the purpose of our existence. People are meant to be loved and sacrifices meant to be made.

We must learn to love everybody. Even when we are not loved back. Regardless of ethnicity, religion, sex, occupation etc love must bind us all together. It may be easy to look around our world today and see the appearance of chaos, difficulty and strife. Yet, when we come from an open heart, we can also see our opportunity to love all things into balance, joy, harmony and peace.

Simply, if you cannot make sacrifices for the one you love, then it is not really love. To be able to love without hoping for anything in return is where true love begins.

So as we live our lives, lets focus on Jesus and the example He set for us. I love you all and pray that you are consumed with the unconditional love of our Father in heaven. Exhibit this love and let us live in peace and harmony.
